It’s been a long and very difficult few years. I won’t bore you with the drama, but I’m ready to get back to my writing. Not that I really stopped; putting pen to paper was just long and laborious. My spark was gone, and writing didn’t fill me with joy. Until…

My favourite line from a movie ever comes from Parenthood. It’s all about life being like a roller coaster. And for too long, I was hurtling down, down, down, but I never hit bottom. And then, one day I was going back up that steep climb to the top. With that climb, my passion for writing returned. So the long, difficult days of trying to write something, anything, suddenly went by in the blink of an eye. And I had thousands and thousands of words to work with.

I’ve always written for me, for the pleasure I get from it. But, I also love, love, love that maybe my work brings a flicker of joy to someone out there who just needs a speck of happiness to get them through.
